When I first pulled up to Boutique Resort 2BR Villa Dalaa 2, Pure Water Pool, Kamala Beach, I honestly wasn’t sure what to expect from the name alone — it’s quite a mouthful. But you know what? The moment I stepped onto the property, everything clicked. This four-star villa resort sits tucked away in the quieter part of Kamala Beach, and there’s something immediately calming about the whole setup. The staff greeted me with genuine warmth, not that rehearsed hotel smile you get sometimes, and I could tell right away this place operates more like a boutique hideaway than your typical beach resort.

The Villa Experience

The two-bedroom villa I stayed in was actually more spacious than I anticipated — and I mean that in the best way possible. Each room felt thoughtfully designed rather than just thrown together, with Thai-inspired touches that didn’t feel forced or touristy. The private pool (they call it a “pure water pool” and honestly, the water quality was noticeably different) became my daily retreat. I spent most mornings floating around with my coffee, watching the palm trees sway overhead. The villa comes with a proper kitchenette too, which saved me from eating out every single meal — though let’s be real, the local food scene is pretty tempting.

Location and Activities

Kamala Beach itself is sort of the sweet spot between busy Patong and sleepy northern beaches. You’re close enough to the action when you want it, but far enough away to actually relax. The resort offers some solid activities if you’re into water sports — I tried the snorkeling trip they arranged, and the dive sites they recommended were genuinely impressive. There’s also fishing available, though I’ll admit I spent more time lounging than casting lines. The best part? Free parking right on site, which might not sound exciting but trust me, it matters when you’re exploring the island by scooter or car.

Dining and Amenities

The on-site restaurant surprised me — I expected typical resort food, but the chef actually knows what they’re doing. The Thai dishes had that authentic punch you usually only find at local spots, and they do a decent Western breakfast too. Service was consistently good without being hovering-over-you annoying. The spa treatments available were solid, nothing groundbreaking but exactly what you need after a day in the sun. I particularly appreciated that they didn’t try to oversell everything — just honest recommendations about what’s worth your time and money.

Why Guests Love It

With a 9.1 rating, this place clearly does something right, and after staying here I get it. It’s that rare combination of feeling private and exclusive without being stuffy or pretentious. Couples especially seem to love it here — and I can see why, given how peaceful and romantic the whole setup feels. The villa format gives you space to breathe and be yourselves, while still having resort amenities when you want them. It’s not trying to be the flashiest place on the beach, but it nails the fundamentals: comfortable accommodations, great location, and staff who actually care about your experience rather than just going through the motions.

  Everything was extremely good!
  The villa is taken care of, the kitchen is well equipped.
  Liked the privacy. Enjoyed the pool in the evenings!!
  A little bit far from everything, but that was never an issue as we rented a car. (There are taxis everywhere, you can use any transportation app to get one within minutes)

  We were greeted at arrival by a lovely polite lady Madam Nipaporn. She showed us to our Villa which was delightful, she briefly showed us around. We were given pool floats to use during our stay, children were super excited. The villa was cleaned everyday by four housekeepers, you get to tell them when to come which was ideal because we had couple of late starts so we did not feel rushed to be out of bed at a certain time. The housekeepers changed our towels every day, changed sheets every other day, sweeped the floors and left us with bottled water. Couple of things to note, unfortunately Alam no longer works here, we opted to stay at this Villa after reading all the highly rated compliments about him, so we had to stay at this villa and meet this amazing person. We were disappointed to be told he no longer works here; from all the reviews I can tell he was a credit to this establishment. Another thing to note the is no 24hour reception in the Villa however you are added to a group chat and any questions you have you just message on the group chat, you receive a reply immediately. The is no restaurant connected to the Villa, but the is restaurants available in the surrounding area which is 10mins walking distance. We hired a car for the duration of our stay at Phuket to make traveling easy with two small children, it was the best option for us. The is safe secure parking space available at the villa. The is a slight language barrier, the host do not speak English too well, so I recommend downloading Google Translate on your phone to communicate with the host more effectively. The is an electric deposit you will have to give on the day you arrive, this deposit can be in any currency we gave £140 deposit but on your last day this fee will have to be paid in Thai Baht. All in all, I would recommend this place to anyone traveling with family. Me and my family would like to thank Nipaporn and her team.

  The resort had a very professional but relaxed atmosphere. The villa itself was very clean, modern, spacious and the pool was immaculate. The staff could not be more helpful. The highlight of the stay was one of the staff members named Alam who was incredibly nice, friendly and would go above and beyond, even in his personal time to make sure you’re happy and help with every situation. I’m not sure if we’ve ever met someone so helpful and would happily stay there again to stay at a very nice establishment with the best help there is. 4.5 stars for the villa. 5 stars for Alam!
