The name made me expect some over-the-top tropical theme with fake palm trees and piña colada music, but it’s actually refreshingly understated. This three-star place has this calm, residential vibe that feels more like staying at a well-appointed apartment building than a typical hotel – and I mean that in the best way possible.

The lobby’s got these clean lines and muted blues that don’t scream “paradise” but somehow work perfectly. What I really appreciated was how quiet it was, even when I stayed during what seemed like a busy period. The walls are surprisingly thick, which you don’t always get at this price point. My room faced what looked like a courtyard area, and honestly, waking up to that peaceful view instead of a busy street was pretty nice. The staff at check-in were genuinely helpful too – not just going through the motions, but actually asking if I needed recommendations and seeming like they cared about the answer.

Here’s the thing though – don’t expect luxury touches everywhere. The bathroom was perfectly clean and functional, but the fixtures are pretty basic, and the Wi-Fi can be a bit sluggish if you’re trying to stream anything heavy. But for what you’re paying, those minor trade-offs feel totally reasonable. What impressed me more was the attention to details that actually matter: really good blackout curtains (seriously, I slept so well), decent water pressure, and that rare find – a mini-fridge that actually gets cold enough. The whole place has this lived-in comfort that makes you want to kick off your shoes and actually relax. I’d definitely stay here again, especially if I wanted somewhere peaceful to recharge between exploring. It’s not trying to be something it’s not, and there’s something really refreshing about that approach.

  Every basic thing is ok: clean, stuff is nice. The building is good, i was sleeping without AC at night.
  My room had a "asian" window to the coridor, but it was cosy and enough light. Beautiful garden!

  The bed was the best we've slept in in 4 weeks. The aircon was good. Fridge and kettle provided and some cutlery/utensils. The shared area was useful to escape the room. Up a side road so not noisy.
