The spa is where they really shine though – I’m usually skeptical of hotel spas, but their traditional Thai massage therapists know what they’re doing. Fair warning: book early because word’s gotten out among the locals too.

What I really appreciated was how they handle the practical stuff without making a big deal about it. Check-in was smooth, parking is free and plentiful (huge win if you rent a scooter), and the staff genuinely seems to enjoy helping rather than just going through motions. The breakfast spread is extensive without being overwhelming – proper coffee, fresh tropical fruit that’s actually ripe, and they do a decent Western selection if you need a break from Thai food. Beach service is relaxed but attentive, and they’re good about keeping the loungers clean. The pool area can get busy around mid-morning when families emerge, but early morning and late afternoon it’s pretty peaceful. Honestly, with an 8.4 rating from guests, they’re clearly doing something right – this feels like one of those places that’s found its groove and isn’t trying too hard to be something it’s not.
