The rooms aren’t fancy by any stretch (we’re talking hostel-level basics here), but they’re clean and the air conditioning works properly, which honestly is half the battle in Thailand’s heat. The beds are surprisingly comfortable too – I’ve stayed in places that cost twice as much with mattresses that felt like concrete slabs.

What really sold me on this place was the vibe and the location. You’re literally a five-minute walk from the beach, which means you can stumble back from a night out without paying for an overpriced taxi ride. The staff actually seem to care about helping you figure out Phuket – they pointed me toward this amazing local seafood spot that I never would’ve found on my own, tucked away behind all the tourist restaurants. And the other travelers staying here? Mix of backpackers and budget-conscious families, so it doesn’t feel like a party hostel where you can’t escape the noise, but it’s not dead quiet either. There’s a nice common area where people actually hang out and share travel stories, plus they’ve got decent Wi-Fi if you need to catch up on work or planning. The breakfast isn’t anything to write home about, but it’ll fuel you up for a day of island hopping or exploring the markets. One small thing that bugged me – the shower pressure could be better, and sometimes the hot water takes a few minutes to kick in, but honestly, for what you’re paying and where you are, it’s pretty solid value. I’d definitely stay here again if I was doing Phuket on a budget.
