Honestly, Baumancasa Beach Resort caught me off guard in the best possible way. I’ll be upfront – it’s a three-star place, so don’t expect marble lobbies or turndown chocolates, but you know what? Sometimes that’s exactly what you need. The moment I walked into the lobby, there was this laid-back vibe that just made my shoulders drop about three inches. The staff actually seemed happy to see guests, not like they were going through the motions, and check-in was refreshingly straightforward – no endless upselling or complicated key card explanations.

What really won me over was how they’ve embraced the whole beach resort thing without trying too hard. The rooms are clean and comfortable (though I mean, the AC can be a bit temperamental – give it a few minutes to kick in), and most importantly, you can actually hear the waves from your window if you’re facing the right direction. I spent way too much time just sitting on my little balcony with morning coffee, watching early joggers and dog walkers claim their spots on the sand before the day got busy. The beach access is pretty much right there, which honestly saves you the hassle of schlepping beach gear for blocks like at some other places I’ve stayed.

The restaurant situation is solid – not mind-blowing, but they do this grilled fish that’s clearly caught locally, and their breakfast spread has enough variety to keep you happy for a week-long stay. I actually found myself chatting with other guests over meals, something that rarely happens at those massive resort chains where everyone’s rushing around. The pool area gets lively in the afternoons, but if you’re looking for quiet, the beach is literally steps away and surprisingly uncrowded, especially if you walk a bit to the left of the main path. Fair warning though – parking can get tight during peak season, so if you’re driving, get back before evening or you might be circling the block a few times. But honestly, once you’re settled in, you probably won’t want to leave anyway.

  The location was good, right across from the beach and easy access to restaurants and markets. Under the rooms there are laundry and massage services that are very convenient.
