  Lovely beach and pool area. The beach attendant was very good. The overall staff were very friendly and always had a smile and happy to help. Going to and from the island was a good booking system, reception need to remind people that they need a ticket.

  We had a lovely stay overall at Barcelo Coconut Island over the New Year’s. The pool villa was beautiful and tranquil, and my 4 year old had a blast playing on the resort beach and in the kids club. Staff were super busy because it was peak season, but they tried their best when rendering service.

Given the urgency of the situation, we were forced to take a boat (which departed 5 minutes early despite our notification) to the mainland and rush her to the emergency room.

  The environment of this hotel is very pleasant. However, the beach is not quite nice enough for swimming. The pools, on the other hand, are very enjoyable and kept at a good temperature. The hotel service is of very high quality.
  
  The suites with jacuzzis are a bit outdated but still comfortable. However, I wouldn’t recommend booking one, as the jacuzzi feels more like a fish pond than an actual jacuzzi.
  
  The restaurant service is disappointing—you often have to chase after the waitstaff to get what you need. The food is nothing special, especially considering the prices. I would suggest having your meals outside the hotel instead.
