You know what really caught me off guard about Babylon Pool Villas? I walked in expecting just another decent place to crash, but this four-star property actually feels like someone’s luxurious private compound that they decided to share with travelers. Each villa has its own pool – and I mean really has its own pool, not some tiny splash zone, but actual swimming space where you can do laps if you’re into that sort of thing.

The whole setup is honestly pretty brilliant. Instead of cramming guests into a tower with shared everything, they’ve spread these villas out so you hardly see your neighbors. I spent most mornings floating in my pool with coffee, watching the sun come up, and the only sounds were birds and the occasional splash from whoever was in the villa next door. The interiors strike this nice balance between feeling upscale without being stuffy – think clean lines, comfortable furniture that doesn’t look like it came from a hotel catalog, and kitchens that are actually functional if you want to grab groceries and cook something simple.

What I really appreciated was how they handled the details that most places get wrong. The Wi-Fi actually works throughout the property (tested it poolside, obviously), the air conditioning doesn’t sound like a jet engine, and housekeeping comes at reasonable hours instead of banging on your door at 8 AM. The staff seems to genuinely know the area too – they pointed me toward this local spot for dinner that I never would have found otherwise, way better than the typical tourist recommendations you usually get. The 9.3 rating makes complete sense once you’ve stayed there; it’s one of those places where everything just works the way it should, without any of the usual hotel frustrations. I mean, when you can wake up, roll out of bed, and be in your own pool within thirty seconds, what’s not to love about that?

  A beautiful relaxed property, the friendly helpful staff and the awesome location made a great stay for a week. It's so close to all the restaurants and shops, yet on a quiet street away from the noise. Everything is very well maintained and they really think about and provide the little things that make great instead of just good.

  The size of the villa was perfect for us and we really enjoyed the pool. There were some nice cafe's nearby (definitely recommend Coco's). We didn't attempt to walk to the beach as it was hot and a reasonable distance but easy enough to use Grabs to get around. Seemed like a much quieter location than elsewhere in Phuket which was crazy busy. The owner was lovely and very helpful. Appreciated he loaning us some snorkels so we could enjoy Yanui beach.

  The staff were very friendly and helpful! The little apartment was spacious and had everything we needed. We really liked that it was tucked away in a nice quiet neighborhood, but still within walking distance to shops, restaurants, bars, etc.
