You know what caught me off guard about Baan PhuAnda Phuket? It’s one of those places that doesn’t try too hard to impress you with flashy lobbies or over-the-top amenities, but somehow ends up being exactly what you needed. I mean, it’s a three-star property, so you’re not expecting marble everything, but the attention to detail here actually surprised me. The staff genuinely seems to care about making your stay work – not in that scripted hospitality way, but like they’re actually invested in whether you have a good time in Phuket.

The rooms have this lived-in comfort that I honestly prefer to those sterile luxury boxes you sometimes get. Everything’s clean and well-maintained, but there’s character here – wooden touches that feel authentic, not like they’re trying to fake some Thai aesthetic for tourists. The air conditioning works properly (trust me, you’ll appreciate this), and the beds are surprisingly comfortable. I slept better here than I did at places costing twice as much. What really sold me though was how quiet it gets at night. You’re still close enough to get around easily, but you don’t have drunk tourists stumbling past your window at 3 AM – which, if you’ve spent any time in the busier parts of Phuket, you’ll know is worth its weight in gold.

The location works really well if you want to actually experience the island rather than just bounce between tourist traps. You can get to the main beaches without much hassle, but you’re also positioned to explore some of the local spots that most visitors miss entirely. The neighborhood has that authentic Thai feel – you’ll hear roosters in the morning and see locals going about their daily routines. There’s a great little market within walking distance where the prices are actually reasonable (novel concept, I know), and the street food scene nearby is legitimately good. I found myself eating at this tiny noodle stand around the corner almost every morning because the owner remembered how I liked my coffee after day two. It’s those little moments that make a trip memorable, and somehow staying at Baan PhuAnda puts you in the path of more of them than you’d expect. The 8.9 rating this place has earned makes perfect sense once you spend a few days here – it’s not trying to be something it’s not, but what it does offer, it does really well.

  A quaint little hotel conveniently located near a 7-Eleven and plenty of local eateries, yet tucked away in a quiet pocket. The rooms were clean and spacious and exceeded our expectations for the price. They also have great Wi-Fi and newly installed ACs.

  The staff is amazing, sweet and friendly always made sure we were well taken care of.
  It felt like home.
  It’s easy accessible to little food shops, super markets and to grab transportation.
  My friends and I fell in love with our little host, the sweetest little girl who’s always sharing her love with hugs. We felt very sad having to leave but definitely will be back❤️

  The hotel has got a very rustic feel to it. Its extremely clean and the bed is pretty comfortable. The staff speak broken english and are very helpful. There’s a cute little daughter of one of the staff who’s absolutely adorable. 15 mins walking distance from Chillva night market!
