What really impressed me was how the staff seemed to actually remember your preferences after a day or two. The breakfast setup is extensive without being overwhelming – they’ve got this excellent tom yum that’s proper spicy, not the watered-down tourist version. And honestly, the rooms are spacious enough that you don’t feel like you’re living out of a suitcase, which matters when you’re staying more than a few nights. The bathrooms have those rain showers that actually have decent pressure (you’d be surprised how often that’s an issue in Phuket). One small thing that bugged me initially was the air conditioning – it’s powerful but took me a night to figure out the controls aren’t exactly intuitive.

The hotel sits on a slight hill, so you get these glimpses of the Andaman Sea from the higher floors, though it’s not technically oceanfront. But that elevation actually works in your favor because you catch the breeze, and it’s noticeably cooler than down at street level. Parking was never an issue when I had a scooter, and they’ve got a good relationship with the local taxi drivers if you need rides – just don’t expect Grab to work reliably up there. The spa is genuinely good, not just hotel-spa-adequate, and they use local products that actually smell like lemongrass instead of generic hotel amenities. I’d definitely go back, especially during shoulder season when the rates drop but the weather’s still perfect.

  This is a real five-star hotel! Everything was at the highest level – service, friendly and caring staff, special thanks to Milk for her hospitality. There were delicious breakfasts with a large selection of dishes (but it didn't change much), a cozy room with a large bed and a spacious bathroom. We chose a room with a mountain view and felt complete privacy and we liked the view. I would like to separately note how well thought out everything is in the room – an air purifier, your own iron, there is a beach bag, even flip-flops. If we go to Phuket again – we will choose Avista

  The room was really nice, clean and well maintained. The food in the restaurant was excellent from the soft shell crab yellow curry to the Rogan Josh lambshank. Spa was excellent. Staff was very attentive. One even helped us change our airline flights. Location is nice as well.

  Room was beautifullly decorated, very big and comfortable. The pool was big, beautiful, and uniquly designed. The staff was the most helpful and kind staff I encountered in Thailand, and that says a lot, as Thailand is one of the nicest place in the world (service and people wise). Especailly Mango and Kyril, who attended the front desk. They really tended to every one of our needs, and always with a smile.
