I’ll be honest – when I first pulled up to Andaman Seaside Resort Bangtao Beach, I wasn’t expecting much from a three-star place. But you know what? Sometimes the best surprises come in unassuming packages, and this little resort really grew on me during my stay.

The location is actually pretty sweet if you know Bangtao Beach well. You’re close enough to hear the waves (which I loved falling asleep to), but far enough back that you don’t get the crazy crowds that pile onto the main beach strip during peak season. I mean, Bangtao can get absolutely packed with families and tour groups, especially around the central area near the big resorts, but this spot feels more tucked away. The walk to the actual beach takes maybe three minutes – not beachfront, but close enough that you’re not lugging your stuff forever. What I really appreciated was how quiet it stays in the evenings. No thumping bass from beach bars keeping you up, just the sound of the ocean and maybe some distant chatter from other guests.

The rooms themselves are pretty standard for what you’d expect at this price point, but they’re clean and the air conditioning actually works well (trust me, that matters more than fancy marble bathrooms when it’s 35 degrees outside). The staff really made the difference though – they remember your name after a day or two, and the front desk guy (I think his name was Somchai?) gave me some solid recommendations for local spots that weren’t just the usual tourist traps. He pointed me toward this little seafood place about ten minutes away where locals actually eat, and honestly, it was better than half the expensive restaurants I tried in Phuket town. The pool area gets decent sun most of the day, and while it’s not huge, it never felt crowded during my midweek stay. I did notice it filled up more on weekends with Thai families from other parts of the island, which actually added to the authentic vibe rather than detracting from it. One small thing that bugged me – the Wi-Fi can be spotty in some rooms, so if you’re planning to work remotely, maybe ask for a room closer to the main building. But honestly, being slightly disconnected wasn’t the worst thing for a beach vacation. The whole place just has this relaxed, unpretentious feel that I found pretty refreshing after staying at some of the bigger, more “polished” resorts in the area.

  Well organiced clean hotel with a very nice garden only 1minute walk to the beach. Nice pool and great breakfast. The room and the bed was great. Peacfull place in the middle of the heart of Bangtao beach (south). Seven eleven, restaurants and massage only few steps away.
