I’ll be honest – when I first pulled up to Andaman Beach Suites Hotel, Patong Phuket, I wasn’t expecting much from the exterior. But you know what? Sometimes the best places are the ones that surprise you once you step inside. This four-star property sits right in the thick of Patong’s action, and I mean that in the best possible way – you’re literally a two-minute walk from the beach and even closer to all those little side streets where the real good stuff happens.

The suites themselves are actually pretty spacious, which is refreshing in Patong where a lot of places pack you in like sardines. I stayed on the seventh floor and had this decent view of the chaos below – honestly, it’s kind of entertaining to watch the tuk-tuks navigate those narrow streets while you’re sipping your morning coffee. The rooms have that modern Thai aesthetic without being too touristy about it, and the air conditioning actually works (trust me, you’ll appreciate that when it’s 35 degrees and humid). What I really liked was the little kitchenette setup – nothing fancy, but perfect for keeping some fruit and water bottles cold, maybe heating up some leftovers from the night market.

The staff here gets it, you know? They’re not overly eager in that rehearsed hotel way, but they’re genuinely helpful when you need directions or restaurant recommendations. The front desk guy actually steered me away from the tourist traps on Bangla Road and pointed me toward this amazing seafood place tucked behind the 7-Eleven on Rat-U-Thit Road – now that’s the kind of local insight you want. The hotel’s location is really its sweet spot though. You’re close enough to walk to the beach in flip-flops, but far enough back that you won’t be dealing with the late-night party noise that echoes through some of those beachfront places. I mean, you’ll still hear some activity – this is Patong after all – but it’s manageable. The pool area is small but clean, and it’s actually a nice escape during those brutal afternoon hours when the sun’s just too much. With an 8.1 rating, it’s clearly doing something right, and after staying there, I get why people keep coming back.

  The pool is amazing! Especially the one located near the edge. You can easily spend half the day there and not realize it. Also the roof bar was very nice for a meal or drink with excellent view of the beach and live music. The hotel is situated near main road with basic shops and restaurants but also very close to the beach which is a plus.
