Andaman Beach Hotel Phuket – Handwritten Collection Overview
First Impressions
Walking into Andaman Beach Hotel Phuket – Handwritten Collection, you immediately get that boutique hotel vibe — it’s not trying to be a massive resort, and honestly, that’s exactly what makes it work. The lobby has this relaxed, contemporary feel that sets the tone for your stay. You know what struck me most? How the staff actually remembers your name after the first day, which is pretty rare for a four-star property these days.
Perfect Patong Position
The location is seriously impressive — you’re right in the heart of Patong but tucked away on a quieter soi, so you get the best of both worlds. I mean, you can walk to Bangla Road in about five minutes when you want the action, but you’re not dealing with the noise all night long. The beach is literally a two-minute stroll away, and there’s this great little local coffee shop right around the corner that most tourists never find. Couples especially seem to love this spot — I can see why, since you’ve got easy access to romantic beachfront dinners without being stuck in the chaos.
The Room Experience
Let me tell you about the beds — they’re genuinely comfortable, not just hotel marketing comfortable. I actually slept better here than I expected, and the air conditioning works perfectly (which, trust me, matters a lot in Phuket). The room design is clean and modern without being sterile, with enough space to spread out your stuff without feeling cramped. The bathroom is well-designed too, though nothing fancy — just solid, functional, and spotlessly clean.
Breakfast and Dining
The breakfast spread is actually pretty impressive for a mid-range hotel. They’ve got this buffet setup that covers all the bases — proper Thai dishes alongside Western options, plus they’re really good about dietary restrictions. I was surprised to find decent gluten-free options and halal choices, which isn’t always a given in Patong. The restaurant area gets good morning light, and the coffee is better than average — not amazing, but definitely drinkable without needing to hunt down a café immediately.
Why Guests Love It
What really sets this place apart is the combination of location and value. You’re getting that prime Patong position without paying resort prices, and the free parking is honestly a huge bonus if you’re planning to rent a scooter or car to explore the island. The hotel feels like it’s run by people who actually care about the guest experience rather than just going through the motions. It’s not trying to be something it’s not — just a solid, well-located base for exploring Phuket with comfortable beds and good service. For couples especially, it hits that sweet spot of being romantic enough for a getaway but practical enough that you’re not overpaying for amenities you won’t use.

Ravindm from Malaysia (8/10)
I'm glad that we chose to stay here at the Andaman Beach Hotel. Located in a quiet nook within noisy and chaotic Patong, it felt like a little oasis of quiet and bliss.
The highlight of this resort is the staff, who were friendly and warm. The rooms were quaint and comfortable, and I would suggest booking the Sea View room. The bed was cosy, and the amenities were great for a small hotel.Arun from Singapore (8/10)

Staff was friendly and willing to drive you in a golf cart to and from the lobby or road. They always said hello when we walked by. The pool on a hot day was amazing. Close to some restaurants by foot.
