I’ll be honest – when I first walked into Andakira Hotel – SHA Extra Plus, I wasn’t entirely sure what to expect. The name had me curious (what exactly is “SHA Extra Plus” anyway?), but once I got past the lobby, this four-star place really started to grow on me. There’s something refreshingly unpretentious about it, you know? It’s not trying to be the flashiest hotel around, but it gets the important stuff right in ways that actually matter when you’re traveling.

The rooms have this clean, modern feel without being sterile – I mean, you can tell they’ve put thought into the design rather than just slapping together whatever was cheapest. What I really appreciated was how quiet it stayed, even during what seemed like busy periods. You know how some hotels have those paper-thin walls where you hear every conversation in the hallway? Not an issue here. The beds are genuinely comfortable too, which honestly can make or break a trip. I’ve stayed in supposedly fancy places where I barely slept, so this was a pleasant surprise. The bathroom setup is well thought out – decent water pressure, good lighting for getting ready, and enough space that you’re not bumping into everything.

What really sets this place apart though is the attention to detail in the service. The staff seems to actually care about making sure you’re comfortable, rather than just going through the motions. Check-in was smooth and they were genuinely helpful with local recommendations – not just the touristy stuff either, but places where you might actually want to eat or explore. I noticed they keep the common areas really well maintained, and there’s this relaxed atmosphere that makes you want to hang out rather than just rush through. The 7.7 rating makes sense when you experience it – it’s solidly good without any major complaints. Sure, it’s not going to blow your mind with over-the-top luxury, but sometimes you just want a place that does everything well without the drama. If you’re looking for somewhere reliable that won’t eat up your entire budget but still feels like a proper treat, this is definitely worth considering.

  The location was good, it was a 15 minute walk from the beach and a little removed from the hustle and bustle of Bangalor Road

  Rooms are nice and clean, very modern. Bathroom is large with spacious shower, the water pressure is very good.
  We did not really use the swimming pool, but it looks nice as it goes all around the 3rd floor. Water is not very warm though 🙂 but it is refreshing :))
  The breakfast is good, after 6 days we did not feel like its repeating, omlettes were the best.
  The hotel has a good and vibrant vibe, and it makes you feel good.
  Hotel is near market, boxing stadium and JungCeylon shopping mall. There is a plenty of massage places around the hotel, which we visited a lot 🙂
  And room service – the food is amazing and has a decent price.
  The staff is amazing, everybody is smiling all the time and the whole team makes you feel good.
  Hotel has a covered parking, which is a plus.
