You know what really struck me about Amarin Hotel Patong when I first walked in? The lobby actually feels calm despite being right in the thick of things – and trust me, that’s not easy to pull off in Patong. I mean, you’re literally a two-minute walk from Bangla Road’s chaos, but somehow this place manages to feel like a proper retreat once you step inside.

The three-star rating is pretty spot-on, honestly. It’s not trying to be some fancy resort, but everything just works well. The rooms are clean and comfortable – mine had this great view of the pool area, which was actually bigger than I expected for a hotel this size. The air conditioning runs quietly (important when you’re trying to sleep off those late Patong nights), and the beds are surprisingly firm in a good way. What I really appreciated was the bathroom setup – decent water pressure and hot water that actually stays hot, which you can’t always count on in this price range around here.

The staff really knows their stuff about the area too. The front desk guy – I think his name was Somchai – gave me the best directions to the less touristy parts of Patong Beach where you can actually find a quiet spot to sit. He also steered me toward this little family-run restaurant down Soi Kebsup that I never would’ve discovered otherwise. The pool gets busy around midday when everyone’s taking a break from the beach, but early morning or late afternoon it’s perfect for a quick dip. Location-wise, you’re close enough to walk everywhere but far enough from Bangla Road that you won’t hear the thumping bass until 3 AM. I stayed there during high season and yeah, Patong gets intense – but having this little bubble of calm to come back to made all the difference. It’s honest value for what you pay, which in a place like Patong Beach, that’s saying something.

  Location is perfect; u have free coffee and water everyday; generous people; staff friendly; they recommend things to do; neighbourhood very calm yet at a busy area with bars, restaurants, etc; best thing is the 3 min walk to the beach;)

  The room is large, clean, daily cleaning, although not required every day, but water every day is very good. Good location, close to the beach, few hotels offer this for such a price. There are shops, restaurants and everything you need around. You know, there are hotels where everything is not new, but it is still strong and acceptable. Here, the price/quality ratio is the same, if not in season, in season it becomes unrealistically expensive for such housing. I stayed here for three weeks and other hotels were a little more expensive, but had the same level or even worse.
