I’ll be honest – when I first heard about AB House, I wasn’t expecting much from a three-star place. But you know what? Sometimes the most unassuming spots completely surprise you, and this little gem absolutely did that for me.

What struck me right away was how much the staff actually cared about getting things right. I mean, you can usually tell within the first five minutes of walking into a place whether people are just going through the motions or if they genuinely want you to have a good stay. The folks here definitely fall into that second category – there’s this warmth that feels real, not rehearsed. The rooms themselves are clean and comfortable in that no-frills way that actually works perfectly when you just want a solid place to crash. Nothing fancy, but everything you need is there and it all works properly. I’ve stayed in supposedly fancier places where half the outlets didn’t work or the shower had weird water pressure – none of that nonsense here.

What really impressed me though was discovering this place has a 9.6 rating, and after spending time there, I totally get why. It’s one of those rare spots where they’ve figured out that doing the basics exceptionally well beats trying to be something you’re not. The housekeeping is spot-on (seriously, I don’t think I’ve seen hospital corners that crisp in years), and there’s this attention to small details that you don’t always find – like actually having enough towels and making sure the Wi-Fi doesn’t cut out every ten minutes. Plus, and this might sound weird, but the place just has good energy. You know how some hotels feel sterile or rushed? This feels more like staying at a really well-run bed and breakfast, except without someone hovering over you at breakfast asking if everything’s okay every thirty seconds. It’s that sweet spot where you feel taken care of but not smothered, and honestly, that balance is harder to achieve than you’d think.

  Everything. I don't know why people rate it lower than 10 or 9. Large room, very clean, huge balcony, very comfortable bed! New big flatscreen tv, nice bathroom, good price and decent location. Also free instant coffee and water.

  The host Ava was amazing always went the extra mile and was a very communicator, room was large as was the balcony, decent size bathroom and TV, bed was comfy, location is good 15mins from Patong Beach, would 100% stay here again and recommend to a friend

  Loved this place. Room had everything i needed. AC, bed, fridge, kettle, hot shower, wardrobe were all great. loved the towels. Balcony was super. Host was friendly and helpful. Not much English but we managed. Great location if you want to be away from tourist areas. Having a scooter kinda important if you wanna get to the beach etc. Great local food places around at local price. Overall v happy.

  The room is very clean, the bathroom is very spacious, a large new refrigerator, a new inverter air condition, kettle, large flat-screen TV, many coffee sticks and different types of tea in the room. Comfortable bed and clean linen. Nice view from the balcony.

  Was clean and quiet. Good for solo trevelers. There're not many tourists around, so after 23:00 it's pretty much quiet.
  Scooter/car is recommended living here, but ask the hotel owner about the parking place.
  Also, there're a lot of mini shops around and scooter/car renting facilities.
  The air conditioning is good. It was working all day long, so when I was back, it was such a pleasure to get into fresh room.

  Однажды я почувствовал себя плохо и она сходила в аптеку и перенесла мне лекарство за что ей спасибо.
  Современный телек с интернетом.
  В отеле мало людей.
  Душ с горячей водой и хорошим напором .
  Довольно большой холодильник.
  Кровать удобная.
  Постельное белье удобное.
