The bypass road means you can get to the beaches pretty easily (about 15-20 minutes to Patong if that’s your thing), but you’re also close enough to explore the old town’s colorful Sino-Portuguese buildings and street food scene. There’s free private parking on site, which honestly saves you a headache if you’re planning to rent a car and explore the island properly.

The Pool and Facilities

The swimming pool is definitely the star here — I mean, it’s right there in the name for a reason. It’s this gorgeous lagoon-style setup that winds around the property, and you know what?   Breakfast was great. Simple crossoint, cereal, eggs, salad, coffee plus soup and rice options. Staff were all friendly and helpful. The local market was great, on every night 20 minutes walk away. Taxi to town was 160 bhat with grab very reasonable. Also near the water park which we really enjoyed on boxing day.

  We really enjoyed our stay at A2 pool resort, the staff were friendly and accommodating to all of our needs. We had a room that lead directly out to the pool which was absolutely amazing! I loved being able to just sit and dip my feet in or hop in at any time. The rooms were clean and well styled. The pool area looks lovely and is of good temperature – also love the kayaks! We only ate in the restaurant one evening but the food was lovely! The hotel is a short taxi ride to old town and other areas which sr cheap and easy to book through the bolt app.
