Four proper bedrooms that actually fit real beds (not those cramped European doubles), and the living area has enough space that our group of eight wasn’t constantly bumping into each other. The kitchen was well-equipped too, which saved us a fortune since we could make breakfast and pack lunches for beach days.

What I really appreciated was how quiet it gets at night. During the day you’ll hear some traffic from the main road, but once evening hits, it’s just the sound of cicadas and the occasional motorbike. The owner – or maybe the property manager, I’m not sure – was super responsive when our air conditioning started acting up on day three. Fixed within a couple hours, no drama. The Wi-Fi actually worked throughout the apartment, which is more than I can say for some supposedly fancier places I’ve stayed. You know what surprised me most? The water pressure. Sounds silly, but after a long day at the beach, you want a proper shower, and this place delivered. The downstairs bathroom has this rainfall showerhead that’s actually worth using. Only minor gripe I had was the parking situation – there’s space for maybe two cars, so if you’re traveling in a bigger group with multiple rentals, you might need to get creative with street parking. Also, the nearest 7-Eleven is about a ten-minute walk, which isn’t terrible but something to keep in mind if you’re planning late-night snack runs. Overall though, this place gives you that local living feel without sacrificing comfort. It’s not trying to be some Instagram-perfect resort, it’s just a solid, clean, comfortable base for exploring this part of Phuket.
